Moving to KC (looking to buy a home in Parkville). The house we are considering is new construction with about 1200 sq ft of unfinished basement. What is the ball park square footage price to finish with framing a bedroom, installing a bath and the rest as media room with bar? I realize this is general, but I want a general idea of costs. I need the work done this month Aug 2009 and and estimate this week. I have a fiberglass tub with shower surround that has a crack in the floor of the tub in the existing bath up stairs. A new mixing valve is needed in this unit also. Am interested in possibly building a 2nd bath into the basement also.

I would like to convert a 2 car garage into a living room. This would include removing the garage door and adding a window and siding.
